JSB fund Closing event 12 Feb 2026

SALAMA Concludes Japan-Funded Project Supporting Maternal and Reproductive Health in Lebanon;
On February 12, 2026, SALAMA proudly hosted the closing ceremony of its Japan-funded project:
“Preventing Maternal and Reproductive Health Morbidities and Mortalities among Crisis-Affected Populations, IDPs, Syrian Refugees, and Host Communities in Lebanon.”
We were honored by the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, Kenji Yokota, alongside representatives of the Lebanese Ministries of Public Health and Social Affairs, the Government of Japan, and IPPF.
Funded through the Japan Supplementary Budget (JSB), the project significantly strengthened access to lifesaving maternal and sexual and reproductive health services for vulnerable communities in the Bekaa Valley, including IDPs, Syrian refugees, and host communities.
Together, we reaffirm our shared commitment to protecting the health, dignity, and rights of women and families across Lebanon.
