A Meal, A Moment of Hope 🤍

When the war destroyed her home, “Rana” (pseudonym), a pregnant mother of three, fled with her family to safety—leaving everything behind. With her husband out of work and no income, the family faced severe poverty, surviving on just one meal a day.

“I used to skip meals so my children could eat,” she shared.

During outreach visits, SALAMA’s team identified Rana’s urgent needs and supported her through the Australian Aid SPRINT project with food vouchers.

This simple support made a life-changing difference.

“With the voucher, we could eat again. I could finally take care of myself and my baby.”

Today, Rana and her children have access to regular meals—and a renewed sense of dignity and hope.
